PRIME MINISTER PULLS HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE DURING THE PARISH DEVELOPMENT MODEL ROLL OUT TRAINING

Hundreds of residents in Mubende district have turned up for the official launch of the district leaders training about the Parish Development Model(PDM) presided over the RT Hon prime minister

The Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah while at mayor garden in Mubende district today has pulled a crowed of people that turned up for the official launched the district leaders training about the Parish Development Model.

Hon Nabbanja who was being escorted by ministers and Mubende district members of parliament applauded the residents in this area for the warm reception which also portrayed their love and urge to learn about the various government programs meant to eradicate them from poverty.

Hon Nabbanja stressed that;” the parish development model is the bullet which has been put in place by government to see to it that all the Ugandans are eradicated from poverty, where at least each house hold can be able to attain one million Uganda shillings through accessing the revolving funds and return the money to the Parish Development Model sacco at 6 percent .”

Nabbanja cautioned the technical officers especially the parish chiefs against mismanaging the allocated funds and soliciting for bribes from the beneficiaries because this program will be accessed at free cost and those netted will be dealt with accordingly.

Nabbanja appealed to the locals to desist from practices like land fragmentation where land is divided into small plots and the production is limited.

Mr. Mulondo Robert the chief Administrative Officer Mubende district explained that ;”various trainings both at the district and lower local government units have been carried out for both political and the technical wing, Parish Development Model Saacos have been formulated , Parish Development Model Saaco accounts opened and funds to a tune of 7,565,422 per Sacco have been already deposited.”

In attendance were minister who include minister or lands, housing and urban development Hon Judith Nabakooba, and state minister for primary health care Margaret Muhanga, Deputy attorney general Jackson Kafuuzi.
