PAPS RECEIVE FARM ITEMS
District Production officer Mr.Kisakye Fred, Vice Chairperson Hon Besigye Kellen, and District Veterinary officer in partnership with Montrose have today launched the distribution of farm items, equipments and pesticides to the projected affected persons under the EACOP project.
56 Project Project Affected persons under the EACOP project from greater Kitenga have today received the farm items to enable them improve their livihood following their displacement to pave way for the construction of the East African Crude oil pipeline.
while handing over the items to the beneficiaries at Rwamasgengero LC I, Kayebe sub county Mr.Kisakye Fred the District Production officer thanked Montrose for the initiative of availing farmers with inputs to be aimed at improving their livelihood.
He noted that several people who were displaced by EACOP project are challenged with food and animal management thus the need to support them to fit in the new arrangement.
Hon Besigye Kellen vice chairperson and also one of the EACOP project affected person thanked Montrose for the support rendered to the PAPs through demonstration gardens, provision of seedling, improved pasture species grass for animals which has helped them improve their livelihood.
