STAFF HOUSES AND CLASSROOM BLOCKS COMMISSIONED

Mubende district local government has today commissioned two twin staff quarters and two classroom blocks in a bid to improve service delivery in school

According to Kabunga Asaph the district education officer these building have been constructed at a two class room blocks have been constructed at  Kattambogo primary school and  Butayunja Dam Primary school in kiganda and kayebe sub counties and  twin staff quarter houses have been constructed  at Bututi primary school and at kabowa primary school in kasambya town council and kibalinga sub county respectively.

In addition to the class room blocks each class room has also received 10 desks to help the student sit comfortably while attending classes

Kabunga stressed that “Mubende district is faced with a challenge o limited class room at the school that at times some pupils are Forced to study under the tress while some classes share a building which hinders the smooth running o the pupils while in class.”

“Some school are located in hard to reach areas where the Teachers are not even able to get rooms to rent, this has increased the cases o late coming of teachers thus leading to poor performance o the pupils The construction o the classroom blocks and the staff quarters have come in at a timely moment and will help solve the various problems hindering the excellent performance of the pupil. .” Kabunga noted

While officiating the commissioning o the building the resident district commissioner Mrs Mary Nyakwera Baguma has appealed to the teachers to endeavour and attend to their duties amidst the challenges because government is comm8itted towards helping improve their working environment but they are constrained by the limited environment.

Mrs Nyakwera further requested the parents to endeavour sending their children to school so that these new structures are fully utilized.
